Queen Elizabeth NP
Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in southwestern Uganda, covering an area of approximately 1,978 square kilometers. The park was established in 1954 and was named after Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate her visit to Uganda that same year. It is one of the most visited national parks in Uganda, and is known for its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes.
The park is home to over 95 mammal species, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and chimpanzees. It is also a habitat for over 600 bird species, making it one of the best bird-watching destinations in Africa.
