5 Day Safari to Murchison Falls and Kibale
- After breakfast, take off to Murchison Falls National Park
- Game drive and boat cruise on the Nile River to the bottom of the falls
- Drive to Kibale Forest national park through Hoima and Fort Portal
- Chimpanzee trekking and nature walk in the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary
- Departure for Entebbe International Airpor and End of Safari
Activities
Day 1:
- After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi town
- You will have lunch in Masindi town after which you will drive to Murchison falls through Kichumbanyobo gate.
- In the Evening you will see the magnificent top of the falls. Named after the magnificent Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging 43 meters (141 feet) down into the"Devil's Cauldron" below. The falls can be viewed from above or below, and visitors can take a boat ride to the base of the falls.
- Overnight stay in Murchison Falls National Park in any of your assigned place of accommodation
for dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
- After breakfast, you will take off for an early morning game drive on the Northern part of the Park to catch the early risers.
- Expect to encounter animals like buffalos, Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, baboons, antelopes etc.
- Return to the lodge for lunch and after take a boat cruise on the Nile River to the bottom of the falls, where you can see the magnificent
- Murchison Falls up close and spot various aquatic animals such as crocodiles, hippos and water birds
Day 3:
- After breakfast, you will drive to Kibale Forest national park, en route in Hoima and proceed to Fort portal.
- Overnight stay in Kibale.
Day 4:
- After breakfast, you will be briefed on chimpanzee trekking experience Kanyachu the Park Headquarters.
- Trek through the forest with a guide to find the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, all trackere must be above 18 years.
- You will also see other primate species like vervet monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys and baboons.
- Return to the lodge for lunch and some rest.
- Afternoon nature walk in the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, where you can see a variety of bird species and primates.
- Overnight stay in Kibale.
Day 5:
- Departure for Entebbe International Airport, stopping for lunch en route
- Arrival in Kampala in the early evening, where you can do some souvenir shopping or explore the city
- Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
